Rwita Dutta, an Assistant Professor of Politics, is involved in films in various capacities. She runs and edits the international film journal Film Buff and has acted as a jury in different film festivals at home and abroad. A member of Fipresci, she regularly contributes in journals,websites dealing with serious cinema. Also a filmmaker, she has made documentaries and short films. Currently writing her Phd dissertation on Kolkata city andBengali Cinema(1947-77) and planning to make a long feature film.
