Trinankur Banerjee is a doctoral candidate in the department of Film and Media Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara. He works on post-Partition Bengali comedy and its implication on cultural production, social histories, and political communication in Bengal and Bombay. He has published in Film Quarterly, Intersections, IIC Quarterly, and Indian Film Culture. With Stephen Borunda, he has recently co-edited Media Fields 18 on the theme of “Media Mutualities.” He can be reached @ trinankur@ucsb.edu
