In a seemingly liberal world of today, one that has moved far away from the confinement of Charu’s world, men and women today have no restriction in mingling freely.
Champa Srinivasan writes on various blogs and magazines, including B’khush.com on real life issues and incidents. She is a Post Graduate in English literature from Jadavpur University and has taught English in an Undergraduate college in Kolkata. Currently, she is busy shuttling between her husband and two grown up children, located in three different cities and running a family owned leather goods making workshop. Her hobbies include reading, watching films and browsing the net.

This is an awesome piece, Champa! An intriguing comparison of past and present….one would think Charus in 21st century are smart enough to see inward for strength, but sadly that’s often not the case. This piece & similar, in all genres that exude empowerment is much needed in today’s time. I look forward to reading your next piece.
