Like the lights on the river surface
Talk to me on the embankment
Few words on the moon
Silence for a thought
Laugh merging with the sound of the river
Yes, walk with me on the embankment
Let the winds caress the words
While we talk like a man and woman should
In this chatter of individualistic souls
Let us think of something together
Let’s walk on the embankment
Let our thoughts get mellowed
Like the lights on the river surface
And our minds get empty
Like those benches
Let’s walk on the embankment

Such a lovely, romantic poem. Love the lines- “Few words on the moon
Silence for a thought, Laugh merging with the sound of the river…”
I was there at the birth of this poem, on the South Bank of the river Thames, one summer night, we were absolutely brilliant!
