I
Suddenly came from nowhere,
the pitch dark clouds.
It had gestated the
“much awaited rains” for long.
For me ,
Waited a feel-good journey by a local train in India,
The unique thirst-quenching scent of soil
after the rain-drops hit the ground ,
The pleasant moist breeze….
The awesomeness never ceases
in my hometown, in my own world –
The very much known world.
(II)
The dust lying at the bottom of the earthen pot,
the burnt clay that did not adhere to the wall very well ,
and came off to swim, to travel,

in which the vermilion candle was lit,
created a new candle.
are all very much integral parts of the hot tea served.
Altogether they satiate the soul of the drinker,
who pays attention to this small life, and
takes time to drink the same to the lees.
(III)
The wax that came down to the base of the cup,
in which the vermilion candle was lit,
created a new candle.
Just like the life itself,
the light giver re-solidified
with time.
