The Flavour of Love

May 8, 2015 | 2 min read

A refreshing romantic treat of a poem that speaks of the true essence and beauty of love.

“Let me get scathed in love like I have never been before Let it destroy me if that is what it takes to live a dream”

The flavour of love tantalises
the taste buds of my soul
You forbid me from coming too close

Involvement gives pain , you say
You have your reasons, I believe
I try to abide by the rules you set
I inch back , I try to move away
To be  pushed back to the forbidden again
Recklessness is the only way
my heart has  ever known in love
Its too late for it to learn
the art of loving in parts as your mind knows

Let me get scathed in love like I have never been before
Let it destroy me if that is what it takes to live a dream
Let me come as near to you as I can be
Let me get involved just one more time with all I have to lose
Let my senses delve in the intricacies of your core till you are me and I , you

My heart refuses to listen to the dictates of your  mind
Shhh! drop the guards, keep quiet
Lets savour what life  brings our way just this one time!
